Why my computer is not booting up?

Question : Computer is well connected and has power supply. But still computer is not booting up? Why?

Solution :
There are many reasons for not booting of your computer. It can be due to following common reasons.

1) RAM : RAM is not properly installed on your computer’s motherboard. And it make beep sound twice from motherboard’s speaker.

2) Processor : The processor is not properly installed on motherboard.

3) Harddisk Connection : The hard disk with operating system is not properly connected to motherboard, or hard disk does not get enough power from power source of computer i.e. SMPS. (This is most reason when your computer do not boot on starting.)

4)
Operating System : The operating system of computer (example Microsoft Window or Mac etc) is corrupted or need to reinstall or repair by operating system’s DVD.

5) BIOS Setting : Lastly, your booting option is selected incorrect in BIOS of your motherboard of computer. That means, in BIOS, computer is having option to boot from other source of booting rather than of hard disk, example like DVD ROM or floppy or USP device etc.

Our Experience : The main reason of computer is not booting due to RAM error or Hard disk connection.

If your computer is showing BIOS menu on your LED screen, that mean, it’s processor or RAM is well connected on motherboard.

If it show Boot Error on your LED’s screen, it means, it is not connected your Hard disk or not allowed to access your hard disk in motherboard’s BIOS.

Only computer expert can guess actual reason for error in your computer for not booting up.

How to install DDR1 RAM in Pentium 4 Motherboard (Funny) (Hindi) (720p HD)

RAM is sensitive to static charges and should be handled carefully. Never touch the metal conductors and only handle RAM by their edges.

Depending on its architecture, there will always be at least one notch in a RAM, but never more than two.

RAM modules are keyed with little notches that fit over corresponding tabs in the RAM slots. Before inserting the RAM module, make sure that the notches and tabs are correctly lined up.

Installing RAM is easy to do and probably the easiest task in building a computer.

There will be one or two indentations on your RAM (depending on type of RAM). These indentations need to face the notches on the RAM slots. Now take the RAM carefully and push them into RAM slot, the little RAM clicks should snap into place.

If the BIOS screen comes up on your monitor and there is not a series of beepings then your RAM is successfully installed. To check if all your RAM is recognized by your computer, then you need to go to the BIOS setup, which will display the amount of RAM that is recognized.

This video can be useful for a new user who wants to change their DDR1 RAM in their Pentium computers. Same steps are applicable for installing new type of RAM (DDR2 or DDR3) in their respective Motherboards. (Voice : Hindi)

The dialogue of this video is little humorous and has touch of a cricket match commentary.

How to Install Internal Hard Drives : IDE Hard Drive Connectors

Learn how to connect IDE hard drives, and other tips for installing hard drives on computers.

How to install IDE Harddisk in Pentium Computer (Hindi) (720p HD)

Watch out easy steps to connect IDE hard drive and IDE DVD Rom with Pentium based motherboards. You have to connect carefully IDE Data cable (from Pentium Motherboard) and power cable {from Power Supplier (SMPS) of Computer} to IDE based Hard drive and DVD Rom. An IDE Cable has 36 holes in their ribbon cable end. We have to install this ribbon cable end properly in our IDE HDD and DVD Rom with care so that it does not break any pin located in our IDE devices. Some time, breakage of any important pin can cause malfunction in detection of our IDE devices by the computer system. Similarly, power cables have four colour wires attached to their cable end. They have four holes and can be attached to power pines provided in IDE devices. You can watch how to connect IDE data cable and power cable to IDE Devices in this video. This video can be useful for a new user who wants to change their IDE based Drives in their Pentium computers. (Voice : Hindi)
