Sound Recording Setting for Bandicam in Windows 7

1. How to record sound in Windows Vista/7

If there is no sound for the captured streaming video in Windows Vista/7, it's usually the "Speakers" setting problem.
  1. Select ‘Win7/Vista Sound (WASAPI)’ in Primary Sound Device (Recommended) and select the ‘Microphone’ in Secondary Sound Device (Optional).
  2. Click ‘Settings’ button under the Sound tab of Bandicam, and click ‘Playback’ tab of Windows and select the 'Speakers', and then click the "Set as Default Device" menu.
  3. If you set the 'Speakers' properly, you may see the sound bar when recording.
  4. If you still can't record sounds with ‘Win7/Vista Sound (WASAPI)’, Try ‘Stereo Mix’.

Go to ‘Reording’ tab of Windows, and click ‘Show Disabled Devices (No. 1)’, and then click ‘Enable (No. 2)’.
Start Bandicam, and click ‘Settings’ button under the Video tab, and then choose ‘Stereo Mix (No. 3)’ in Primary Sound Device.

Tips
  • If you still can't record the sound, change the “Sound Device” of Bandicam.
  • Do not choose 'USB Sound Card' in sound device because you can't record USB sound.

1. Use a headset instead of speakers

If you use speakers, the sound goes from speakers to microphone and creates the howling sound. To reduce the howling/robot/echo sound, you'd better use a ‘Headset’ instead of speakers. If you don't have the headset, reduce the speaker volume and keep the speakers away from the microphone.

3. Mute the Microphone Volume

For Windows Xp If you use ‘Two Sound Mixing’ option in Windows XP, go to Volume control window, choose ‘Playback’, and then mute the ‘Microphone Volume’. (Even though you mute the Microphone Volume in ‘Playback’, Bandicam still can record your voice through the microphone in ‘Recording’.)

For Windows 7 If you use ‘Two Sound Mixing’ option in Windows 7/Vista, go to the ‘Playback’ tab, double-click ‘Speakers’ click the Levels tab, and then mute the microphone volume. (Even though you mute the microphone volume of Speakers under the ‘Playback’ tab, Bandicam still can record your voice through the microphone under the ‘Recording’ tab.)

If you use ‘Two Sound Mixing’ option in Windows 7/Vista, go to the Recording tab, double-click ‘Microphone’ click the Levels tab, and then uncheck the ‘Listen to this device
