Watch out easy steps to connect
IDE hard drive and IDE DVD Rom with Pentium based motherboards. You have to
connect carefully IDE Data cable (from Pentium Motherboard) and power cable {from
Power Supplier (SMPS) of Computer} to IDE based Hard drive and DVD Rom. An IDE
Cable has 36 holes in their ribbon cable end. We have to install this ribbon
cable end properly in our IDE HDD and DVD Rom with care so that it does not
break any pin located in our IDE devices. Some time, breakage of any important pin
can cause malfunction in detection of our IDE devices by the computer system. Similarly,
power cables have four colour wires attached to their cable end. They have four
holes and can be attached to power pines provided in IDE devices. You can watch
